"The 7th Iran Internet of Things League" with Industry 4.0 approach

Technological advancements are redefining how we live, work, and interact in the modern world. By leveraging these technologies as powerful tools, we can move towards creating positive social and environmental impacts, leading to a better life and a more promising future for all citizens. Inspired by this exciting trend and aiming to employ technological tools alongside the creativity and innovation of Iranian youth across the country, the “Iran IoT League” is an annual event organized by the IoT Innovation Center Forum of Iran. Its goal is to support the development of the knowledge-based economy, mature the ecosystem, and promote IoT services through the capabilities of active startup teams in the IoT sector nationwide.

Key aspects of this event include:

– Decentralization and identification of capable teams nationwide in the field of smart technologies and IoT-based services.
– Assisting in the maturity of the country’s IoT ecosystem by creating synergies among various ecosystem players, including service providers and end-users.
– Identifying outstanding teams and providing support services to them for the commercial development of their solutions or products.

Distinctive features of the 7th Iran IoT League:

Given the identified trends within the country’s innovation ecosystem, teams and companies active in this field are moving towards solutions related to Industry 4.0. Therefore, focusing on this area, considering relevant regulations such as the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law and the incentives provided for growth and transformation in the industry, is of high importance to encourage innovative teams and individuals in the AIOT domain. Hence, the 7th League, in addition to previous aspects, focuses on the orientation towards Industry 4.0. The event aims to help develop the knowledge-based economy, mature the ecosystem, promote AI and IoT services, and create visibility opportunities for talented teams and individuals across the country.

As of 2017, a total of six nationwide IoT competition events have been held in the country. In these six periods, more than 309 teams registered and competed with their competitors across the country. Some of the participating teams have now developed their own mature businesses in this field. The top teams at these events have excelled in various fields such as smart health, smart safety, connected vehicles, smart homes, smart agriculture and more.
